About:
Started archery in 1988 using long bows and traditional recurve. My mentor at the time was the owner of Kansas City Archery, Gene Towne. I felt very successful right from the beginning winning or placing all of the local tournaments that I entered. After about 5 years I decided to switch to the Olympic style thinking that I would have more competition well I was right. I did continue to place well in my division. In 1998 I became certified for the first time to instruct. Taught scouts for 2 years moved and allowed my conditionals to laps. 2004 met Bob Hickey and re-certified and have enjoyed teaching, mentoring and coaching ever since. I am hooked!
Notable archery accomplishments and goals:
In the last 27 yrs. I have been fortunate enough to have won over 200 trophies giving back (to be re-used) all but the ones that have the most meaning to me. for the future my wish is to continue enjoying archery both as a competitor and a coach.
